BCTA members are encouraged to attend our Board of Directors meeting on October 26, 2017, from 3 to 5:30 pm, with a reception to follow, at the Quality Hotel & Conference Centre, Abbotsford. Featured speaker for the event is Canadian Trucking Alliance President Stephen Laskowski.
The Board periodically opens its meetings to all members and guests who would like to see firsthand how the association is governed. There is no cost to attend.
The October 26th agenda will include, among other items, a national issues update from Stephen Laskowski, who will also attend the reception. If you missed his presentation at BCTA’s Annual General Meeting in June, this is a great opportunity to learn about the priority projects CTA is currently working on.
Stephen was officially named president of CTA at its March 2017 board meeting and previously served as CTA’s senior vice president for the past several years. His June 3rd presentation at the 2017 BCTA AGM and Management Conference is summarized in our summer 2017 edition of the Rearview Mirror.
Although only Board members can vote at meetings, your comments and questions on the issues under discussion are welcome. Those who’ve considered applying to join the Board are particularly encouraged to take part.
More details about the agenda will follow in a future Bulletin. Please register below if you’d like to attend. If you have any questions, please contact BCTA Policy Analyst, Lindsay Samson, at 604-888-5319, ext. 219, or email@example.com.
